Althea BMW Racing Team looking to improve at Magny-Cours

With Round 11 in France just around the corner, Althea BMW Racing Team’s Jordi Torres and Markus Reiterberger are eager for success at Magny-Cours.

The last round at the Lausitzring circuit in Germany did not go according to expectations for the Althea BMW team, which means that the team arrives in France more determined than ever. Torres is looking to improve last year's results where he closed the 2015 Magny-Cours races in eighth and twelfth place. Reiterberger contended last year’s French Round as a wildcard entry and finished in thirteenth.

"We arrive in France very determined, after the challenging Lausitzring race weekend,” said Torres. “Now that there are only three rounds, it is important to do the best possible. That said, I have certainly not had an easy weekend at Magny-Cours in the past and so I hope we can work well from Friday and that weather conditions are stable for a chance to prepare effectively for the races on Saturday and Sunday."

Equally determined to improve and take his BMW to the top, Reiterberger revealed, “I'm excited to race at Magny-Cours. I'm recovering after falling at the Lausitzring and the level of pain is already reduced. I used these days to get ready and I hope to have no problems this weekend. I have already competed on the French track a few times before and I like it, but I hope the weather is good."

The Althea BMW Racing Team duo will be back on track on Friday the 30th of September where they hope to find the winning setup that will take them to the top on Saturday and Sunday at the Fassi French Round.
